Lodge, Disappearing into nature

NOA outdoor living is a 30,000 m² green experience park where high-end partners have joined forces to create 12 themed gardens designed to inspire. Each of the twelve gardens in the experience park has been carefully designed and fully furnished, ensuring that visitors are not only visually stimulated but also provided with practical information. You can stroll through a variety of atmospheres and settings; from walled city gardens to expansive gardens with swimming pools, atmospheric squares, practical outdoor offices and tranquil seating areas to let all the inspiration sink in. In this edition, we’d like to take you to Lodge.

For many, it is the ultimate dream: living in and with nature, with a small footprint, yet with every comfort included. It is possible. And it can even feel elegant, luxurious and surprisingly spacious. The Lodge at NOA Outdoor proves it. Covering just a few square metres, in an unconventional shape, with a finish that turns everything on its head. Entirely mirrored, this little house almost disappears into the landscape. Or does it appear twice as big? It’s all in the eye of the beholder.

Architecture that blends in

The building is nestled amongst the greenery, with an unusual twist in its shape. Not to stand out, but to blend in with the site. The architecture adapts to nature, not the other way round. That natural environment has been carefully planted with species including Tilia, Fagus and Acer. Their leaf structures and seasonal changes are endlessly reflected in the mirrored façades. That reflection makes Lodge an object that dissolves into its surroundings whilst simultaneously doubling what is already there.

Compact living, maximum experience

Inside, the space remains compact. Everything is there in its essence, but the experience is maximised by the light, the view and the choice of materials. The bedroom forms the heart of the experience: it takes up all the space and faces the water. This tiny house may not be overwhelming in size, but it certainly is in precision and experience.
