Vande Moortel | H2O Natural Clay Paving

Good news for anyone building water-conscious gardens and driveways in residential projects: since June 2026, clay pavers have been included on the list published by the Flemish Department of Environment as a recognized water-permeable paving solution for residential sites. To qualify, the entire construction, paving and (sub)foundation combined, must achieve a water permeability of at least 5.4 × 10⁻⁵ m/s. All Vande Moortel clay pavers meet this requirement, thanks to their natural, organic shape. It is precisely these characteristic irregularities that provide sufficient joint space, without the need for spacers. What makes this innovative is not a new material, but a new recognition of an inherent, natural property.
