One of Citterio’s recent designs as part of the C series is a spacious bathroom concept with one large window instead of an external wall. He selected materials in light, creamy hues such as travertine, light cement and pale birch wood to create “a dream conceived for wellness and relaxation”. According to Citterio, “There is no better way to start the day - or to end it in a special atmosphere, bathed in candlelight.” One of the unique features of Citterio’s design is the freestanding travertine structure combining the washbasin with the bathtub. These are usually installed against the wall, but Citterio has chosen to position both the washbasin and bathtub centrally in the room, with pipes coming up from the floor discreetly. The result is an airy space, enhanced by a transparent, all-glass wall with nothing to obstruct the view, striking the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics for a luxurious experience.
