Reinventing the wood look

The brand Duofuse® recently launched a fetching product innovation in the garden fencing category in the form of a vertical tongue and groove plank system with an elegant wood finish. The upside? No more worrying about the maintenance that wooden garden elements inevitably require. A visually pleasing addition to any garden, making it look more tranquil at a glance.

Rustic wood look

Jacco Lodewikus, sales and marketing manager at Duofuse®: “The photo-realistic wood print we apply directly to the plastic slats means they are almost impossible to distinguish from real wood,” says Jacco Lodewikus. “The large photo print means there is virtually no repetition in the pattern, and you don’t have to worry about film peeling off. Unlike real wood partition panels, our panels are low-maintenance. They don’t weather over the years and are also easy to clean. Moreover, they have a noise-reducing effect, are windproof, and keep prying eyes at bay. You can now also stack boards vertically and choose the length and height of your garden fence yourself, which is also nice.”

Seamless design

“The decision to market a vertical garden fence was inspired by the cladding we offer at Durasid. Currently, there is a trend in architecture to install them vertically. We have cleverly capitalised on this evolution by creating a coherent solution. Because we print a different wood pattern on both sides of our tongue-and-groove boards, the overall look is just right, ensuring the façade of the house, canopy and garden fence blend in seamlessly with each other.”

Local production

“What makes our garden fencing so unique is that we produce everything ourselves, from the raw material to the finished product. Our fencing is available in three types of materials: wood-plastic composite, plastic and aluminium. Because we produce and distribute our garden fences locally, we can keep our CO2 emissions low. The wood in the Duofuse wood-plastic composite comes from sustainable European forestry and has PEFC certification. And if something goes wrong in production, we can always reuse it, ensuring closed-loop recycling,” Jacco Lodewikus says.

“They are low-maintenance, noise-reducing and windproof.”
